Why should I clean my gutters?

Cleaning your gutters is important to extend the life your gutter system, as well as your roof, siding, and even foundation. When water is prevented from properly flowing into the downspouts, pools will collect where they aren't supposed to, and then overflow flow onto your roof, siding, and ground which over time can cause extremely costly and unsightly damage to your property. What is your process for cleaning gutters?
​
To clean gutters we follow a few simple steps. Once on the roof we inspect which areas may need the most attention. We then work to remove all leaves, dirt, sticks, and other debris from the gutter. Next we flush water through the gutter to get the last bits of dirt. Once the gutters are cleared we flush water directly down the downspouts to ensure there are no blockages. Finally, we walk around the property and clean up any mess that may have spilled onto the ground.
What if the outside of my gutters are dirty?

We also provide gutter whitening - cleaning the exterior of the gutters for increased curb appeal. Often when gutters have been clogged they get what is called "Tiger Stripes" on the outside. This is from dirty water spilling over the edge and leaving dark stains on the gutter. Additionally, your gutters may just be in need of freshening up if they haven't ever been cleaned.
